Soon after announcing the last list of its candidates for the remaining 20 seats in Uttar Pradesh,senior central leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party would meet in Lucknow to chalk out the party’s poll strategy in the politically key state which sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha.
We have urged the central leadership to hold a meeting of senior party leaders looking after the affairs of Uttar Pradesh to chalk out a detailed strategy for the coming Lok Sabha polls, state BJP president Ramapati Ram Tripathi said in Lucknow.
BJP’s national president Rajnath Singh,in-charge of UP affairs Arun Jaitley and the election in-charge Kalraj Mishra,besides others,are expected to participate in the meeting.
Once campaigning starts senior leaders would find it difficult to spare time for Uttar Pradesh,so it is better to sit together and finalise everything in a timely manner, Tripathi said.
Asked about the date of such meeting,he said It has not been finalised yet but it will be soon after the last list of candidates is announced. Tripathi said the last list of probable BJP candidates for the remaining seats was ready and it would be discussed at the Central Election Committee meeting scheduled to be held in Delhi tomorrow.
