SPO shot dead in Baramulla

A Special Police Officer (SPO) was shot dead by militants inside his house in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir,official sources said.

SPO Altaf Ahmad Shah was shot dead by unidentified militants,who barged into his house at Adipora village of Sopore in North Kashmir Baramulla district late last night,the sources said.

The sources said the militants fled the scene after killing Shah from point blank range.

No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the killing.

Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
