Seven dead in explosion at Andhra firecracker unit

At least seven workers, mostly women, were burnt to death and more than 10 were injured when a firecracker unit exploded in Gokulapadu village on the outskirts of Vizag city on Sunday evening. The toll likely to go up as four persons injured in the incident are battling for their lives at a local hospital. All the deceased were rolling firecrackers in separate units when the explosion occurred. The blaze spread to the neighbouring units also. The factory and few other neighbouring units were gutted in fire.
