A bench led by Justice B S Chauhan sought states’ views to ascertain their understanding of the nature of the UID scheme and whether they have also linked Aadhar cards to some services.

The court will now take up the matter on December 10. The court is hearing a bunch of PILs,challenging the validity of Aadhar in absence of a law and has also disputing its compulsory nature.
