The Railway Budget 2015 was presented on Thursady by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in Parliament. Reactions to Suresh Prabhu's maiden Railway Budget presentation- Shiv Sena: "We are completely dissatisfied with the budget. They have said so many things in the budget. But from where will the money come?," senior Shivsena leader and North-west Mumbai MP Gajanan Kirtikar said, adding the budget has kept everyone in "dark". Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav: "This is a good job. He (Prabhu) has not announced new schemes and promised that he will focus on executing past measures. If he succeeds in doing so, it will be a huge accomplishment. I am satisfied with this announcement in the budget." Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar: "It's like there is a train coach but no passenger." "Bhasan hai par karya yojna nahi hai." "Though the budget was read by Suresh Prabhu it was prepared much earlier by somebody else." Congress: "It's repetitive.It would have been good had he done something in the nine months of his government." Former Railway Minister Pawar Kumar Bansal said the IT provisions being talked about now were actually introduced by former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi a long time ago. Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu: "The Railway Budget for 2015-16 is the most reassuring railway budget of last many years. The Budget proposals are a very informative, innovative and inspiring account of the road ahead for making our railways really the back bone of transportation in our country and a true driver of economic growth," Naidu said.
