Politicians, filmakers queue up at Ajmer Dargah

Tuesday morning Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee sent their offerings to the Sufi shrine.

Dargah authorities said that a chadar on behalf of the entire Bollywood is expected to arrive on Wednesday. As for PM Modi, Naqvi will personally come to present the ‘chadar’ and convey his message at 9am Wednesday.

With the start of the 803rd Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty at the Dargah Ajmer Sharif, politicians, filmmakers and dignitaries have started queuing up at the holy shrine to pay obeisance.

After a ‘chadar’ (sacred cloth) was presented by the US Ambassador on behalf of US President Barack Obama and the people of US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will send his ‘chadar’ through Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday.

Both Singh and Vajpayee sent a message of lasting peace and harmony in the country and best wishes to the followers of the Sufi saint.
