Nashik district,which has recorded 20 deaths due to the H1N1 virus so far,has been declared as 'swine flu affected'. A decision to this effect was taken as per the Maharashtra Government's Epidemic Act,Nitin Mahajan,Resident Deputy Collector told reporters here on Friday. This decision would facilitate the administration adopt various preventive measures to the disease. As many as 114 patients so far have been affected by the swine flu. While twenty of them have succumbed to the deadly virus,five are still on ventilator. Similarly,89 patients have been discharged,and 29 are undergoing treatment,he said. Mahajan said the district has adequate stock of Tamiflu,which is available at 43 medical shops in rural areas.
