MSG set for Feb 13 release

The film had a run-in with the Censor Board’s examining committee that raised objections to the content of the film.

After being in the midst of controversy prior to its release, MSG: The Messenger of God, a film by Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, is set to release on February 13 across the country. However, the Punjab government has banned the film.

While the dera has announced the date of release, it is expected that the certificate from the Censor Board would also be received this week.

Dera spokesperson Aditya Insan while confirming the date of release said they were hopeful of receiving the certificate from the Censor Board soon and added that the release was being targeted across 3,000 to 4,000 screens.

The film had a run-in with the Censor Board’s examining committee that raised objections to the content of the film like the manner in which Singh projected himself as a godman.
