Following complaints of the high level of difficulty of the Class XII CBSE Maths exam, the board has decided to place all representations it received before a committee, ahead of finalising the marking scheme for the paper.

The committee of subject experts will meet after the completion of the board exams to decide on the possible marking pattern of the class XII Maths paper held on March 18.

“All possible efforts will be made to protect the interest of students,” the CBSE said in a statement.

The difficulty level of the paper had triggered complaints from students, parents as well as teachers.

Following the uproar, CBSE officials held a meeting with some school principals to discuss the issue.
