Leading editor criticises ‘a coterie’ within Team Anna

Vinod Mehta,a leading Editor,on Friday sharply criticised “a coterie” within Team Anna,accusing them of “playing with the life” of the Gandhian to press absurd demands.

Mehta,Editor-in-Chief of Outlook magazine,said in a statement that no government could agree to such demands because they are not in line with the Constitution and are undermining democracy.

Describing himself a friend of Team Anna who has spoken several time from their platform against corruption,Mehta said,“I condemn this dangerous game they are playing in the name of people’s power.

“All right thinking people should speak up against the coterie which is leading Anna Hazare and the nation to collision course,” he said.
