J&K police arrest two Hizbul militants

The first arrest was made by a joint search party of police and troops of 50 Rashtriya Rifles at village Wuyan-Pampore.

Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two Hizbul Mujahideen militants,police said. According to police,the first arrest was made by a joint search party of police and troops of 50 Rashtriya Rifles at village Wuyan-Pampore,15 kilometres from Srinagar.

The arrested militant has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Bhat alias Junaid,a resident of Wuyan.

One Chinese pistol,its one magazine,six rounds and three hand grenades were recovered from his possession,police said.

Another Hizbul Mujahideen militant identified as Abdul Rehman Bhat alias Javid Kashmiri was arrested by police in Budgam district on Saturday.

A resident of Lassipora-waterhal in Pulwama district,Abdul was nabbed from Mirgund-Budgam,25 kilometres from here alongwith a pistol,its one magazine and six rounds,police said.
