Husband behind NRI wife’s murder

With the arrest of three killers including husband and brother-in-law of deceased NRI Kuldip Kaur,who was shot dead while she was going to pay obeisance in a Gurdwara here on March 5,the district police,claimed to have solved a blind murder case with the recovery of weapon used in the crime with in 48 hours of its occurrence.

The arrested persons were identified as NRI Kuldip Kaur’s husband NRI Manjit Singh,who hails from village Lehali Khurd,presently residing in Canada,Satinder Singh,son of Nand Singh of Bassi Shah Mohamad and Charanjit Singh,brother of Manjit Singh.

Addressing media persons here,SSP,Hoshiarpur,Parmod Ban said that two unidentified motorcycle borne youths shot dead NRI Kuldip Kaur,while she along with her neighbour was going to pay obeisance at Gurdwara of Sant Baba Harnam Singh at village Jian at about 6.15 am on the morning of March 5.

A murder case had been registered in Sadar police station in this connection.

During investigation,police found out that deceased Kuldip Kaur’s husband Manjit Singh had illicit relations with one Rani who was also residing in Canada and was pregnant.
