Due to a technical snag, the Delhi-Lahore bus stranded in Ludhiana carrying 24 passengers on Tuesday.

The bus halted near Vishwakarma Chowk at Jagraon Bridge and after around fifty minutes another bus was called and passengers were rushed to Delhi amid tight security cover.

Following the tension regarding Pakistani boat in Indian waters, Peshawar attacks and terror threats for Air India flights, the administration did not allow any passenger to step out of the bus and Assistant Commissioner of Police (central) Deepak Hilori said that ‘passengers were shifted to second bus after thorough checking.’

The two escort vehicles of police were also sent with the private bus of Libra Company to Delhi, he added.

“The driver and his helper tried to repair the bus but engine developed some problem. The bus was sent to workshop and another bus was called to shift the passengers. There was thorough checking before shifting 24 passengers including one child,” said Hilori to Indian Express.
