Corporators slam administration for civic schools’ ills

All party corporators on Monday came down heavily on the civic administration for poor infrastructure and quality of education in civic schools. The corporators alleged corruption in appointing the staff for education board and criticised poor facilities provided in the civic schools.

“The quality of education in civic schools is of poor quality and we need to improve the performance,” they added.

Meanwhile,PMC education officer Ramchandra Jadhav alleged interference of elected representatives in the functioning of the education board which led to an agitation by the corporators. However,Jadhav later apologised for making such a statement.
