Cong attack: ‘RSS running Modi sarkar’

The Congress seemed keen to hit back at BJP which had in the past accused its chief Sonia Gandhi of running the UPA government through a remote control.

As top ministers lined up to meet the top RSS leadership to discuss issues of governance, the Congress claimed that it had become clear that the RSS was “controlling the government” and that its ministers were “answerable” to the Sangh rather than to the people.

“What we are witnessing today is that a constitutionally elected government is reporting to and is being held captive to the diktats of an extra constitutional, divisive and fascist organisation like the RSS whose greatest claim to fame is helping the colonial rulers against a nation fighting for independence…it is not surprising thus that this government has, in line with its masters in the RSS, unleashed a divisive, anti people and fascist agenda on the country,” said party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.

The Congress seemed keen to hit back at BJP which had in the past accused its chief Sonia Gandhi of running the UPA government through a remote control. “The people of India have not voted for RSS,” he added.
