Two held with heroin worth Rs 4.6 crore

NAWANSHAR:The district police arrested two Jammu & Kashmir residents from the international market,and recovered 760 gm heroine worth Rs 4.6 crore from their possession on Friday. Nawanshahr SSP Dhanpreet Kaur said that on a tip off the police arrested Sonu and Om Parkash,who tried to flee on seeing the police.

Shiv Sena leader booked in rape case

PHAGWARA:A Shiv Sena leader was arrested on Friday after a woman levelled rape charges against him. The police said the woman alleged that the leader had been exploiting her and that they secretly go married at Mata Chintpurni temple,but now Duggal was not ready to accept her publicly.

Bibi out of jail

KAPURTHALA:Former SAD minister Bibi Jagir Kaur,who was released on bail in her daughter’s murder case from the Kapurthala Model Jail on Friday,was greeted by thousands outside. Thousands also assembled at her Dera Sant Prem Singh Murarewale in Begowal village to welcome her.
