Haryana keeps rejig,promotions on hold,babus left guessing

The most coveted chair is that of Managing Director,HSIIDC,currently being held by Rajiv Arora. He has now opted for central deputation. His wife Jyoti Arora (Joint Secretary,Power) is also on central deputation. The two are slated to be promoted to the rank of financial commissioners.

Another position witnessing the rate race is that of the director,Town and Country Planning. The post is held by Trilok Chand Gupta who is also scheduled to be elevated as a financial commissioner. Devendra Singh,who recently returned from central deputation and currently is in charge of the both the power distribution companies in Haryana,is also set to be promoted as financial commissioner. Besides,Avtar Singh,Amit Jha and Sidhi Nath Roy are also slated to be elevated to the rank of financial commissioners. It remains to be seen whether the recent CBI recommendation of major penalty on Roy in the HCS recruitment case comes in the way of his future posting.

The departments of forest,environment,animal husbandry and cooperation are also headless for want of regular posting. Many officers have been given additional charge of various departments which is adversely affecting the work – one such instance being director,public relations,Anand Mohan Sharan. He holds the additional charge as director (tourism),managing director (tourism development corporation) and additional resident commissioner of Haryana Bhawan,Delhi. The posts are usually headed by four different officers.
