The Haryana government will soon launch a sensitisation programme for Child Care Institutions and women's homes in the state from July 30 to August 22. Under this initiative,a day-long sensitisation workshop would be held in eleven districts of the state,Sumita Misra,Director General,Women and Child Development Department,Haryana said today. The workshop would be held in Panchkula,Kurukshetra,Rohtak,Sonepat,Jind,Gurgaon,Karnal,Narnaul,Faridabad,Hisar and Fatehabad,she said. During the workshop,the staff of CCIs,Women Shelter Homes along with Programme Officer,Integrated Child Development Scheme,Child Development Programme Officers,and other concerned members would be sensitised on various issues including child protection,women and child rights,HIV and AIDS awareness,Juvenile Justice Act and their roles in implementation of the Act,she said. For training purpose,districts of Ambala,Sonepat,Yamunanagar,Kaithal,Mewat,Jhajjar,Rewari,Bhiwani and Sirsa had been clubbed with their nearest districts,she said. Also other than officials of Haryana State Child Protection Society,various experts will sensitise around 600 functionaries working for child protection and women's welfare across the state,Mishra said.
