Cong demands Narendra Modi’s resignation over HC ruling on Solanki

HC grants sanction to prosecute Purshottam Solanki in an alleged Rs 400 crore fishing contracts scam.

Gujarat Congress demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Narendra Modi following the High Court upholding sanction for prosecution of state minister Purshottam Solanki.

State Congress president Arjun Modhvadia said Modi should resign from the post within three days “till the inquiry in the case against his Minister is not over”.

Gujarat High Court upheld the decision of state Governor to grant sanction to prosecute Minister of State for Fisheries Purshottam Solanki in an alleged Rs 400 crore fishing contracts scam.

“If the chief minister does not resign,we will hold protest all over the state,” Modhvadia said.
