Woman bobbitises,murders man

Angered by her husband frequently questioning her over a relationship with another man,a woman allegedly chopped off his genitals and murdered him while he was asleep at a village in Panduvapura taluk today,the police said.

They said Swami Shetty tied the knot with Ratnamma in 2003 But their relationship soured after she started meeting Mallesh who used to frequently visit her house,resulting in regular friction between the couple.

Yesterday,Swami had warned his wife against continuing the relationship.

The police said a furious Ratnamma then hatched a plot with the help of Mallesh to murder Swamy. She gave him some sleeping pills mixed in a beverage,bobbittised him and then murdered him.

While Ratnamma has been arrested,the police have launched a search for Mallesh.
