Arun Borude, the dismissed police inspector facing rape charges, has filed an anticipatory bail application in the Bombay High Court, after failing to get relief from a lower court.
The High Court is likely to hear the case tomorrow, his lawyer advocate Vaibhav Bagade said.
Borude is accused of raping a minor girl. He has been absconding since the case was lodged against him last month.
Sessions court earlier rejected his anticipatory bail application in connection with rape charge, but granted him bail in case of house trespass, though he never turned up for hearing.
According to the police, the victim,a 15-year-old girl, was raped by four to five men including Borude on several occasions between February and March this year at a flat in the building ‘Emerald Court’ in suburban Powai.
The use of flat itself was illegal,as it had been sealed by the court in connection with a litigation.
