Five students held for assaulting policeman

All the accused were released on bail by the police considering their ongoing final examinations.

Five students of NIT Rourkela were arrested in connection with alleged assault of a policeman and torching his motorcycle here,the police said today.

The students,who allegedly assaulted and injured Assistant Sub-Inspector of sector-7 police station Keshab Behera (45) on Sunday night,were arrested yesterday.

Behera was admitted to Ispat General Hospital with fracture in his hand.

However,all the accused were released on bail by the police considering their ongoing final examinations,the sources said.
