FIR against SP leader’s son on rape-murder charges

The body of the 30-year-old woman was recovered near a sugar mill in Rajpura area.

An FIR has been lodged against son of a local SP leader and his aide on charges of rape and murder of a woman in Rajpura area,police said today.

In-charge of Rajpura Police Station Kashmir Singh said that on Saturday last a body of a 30-year-old woman was recovered near a sugar mill and it was suspected that she died in a road accident.

However,the victim’s mother alleged that she was raped by SP district secretary Abdul Hamid’s son Tasleem and his aide Bhure.

She alleged that when the condition of the victim deteriorated,they threw her near the sugar mill and fled.

A case has been lodged against the two,Singh said.

Police said the situation would be clear only after postmortem.
