CBI registers cases against eight including JNU,DU professors

CBI has registered two cases against eight public servants for violation of AICTE norms.

The CBI has registered two cases against eight public servants including a professor each from JNU and Delhi University for violation of AICTE norms.

The case was registered on the allegation that the accused,while working as public servants in 2008,abused their official positions and entered into criminal conspiracy with the President of a Jaipur based society to cheat the AICTE in the matter of granting recognition to the college at a village on the basis of false documents,a CBI spokesperson said in a statement.

He said searches were conducted at Jaipur,Kurukshetra,Jalandhar,Chandigarh and two places in New Delhi during which incriminating documents,cash,assets in the form of immovable property and FDRs have been found.

CBI has registered a case against G V Singh Professor,School of Computer and System Sciences,Jawaharlal Nehru University,T K Garg,Professor,Electronics and Communication Engineering Department,National Institute of Technology,Kurukshetra,M K Jha,Professor and Head,Department of Chemical Engineering,NIT,Jalandhar,Narendra Singh,Deputy Director,Member Secretary Secretariat,AICTE,New Delhi and Ram Karan Bhakar,President of Jaipur based Educational Welfare Society.
