By Election Results 2025 Live Vote Counting Streaming Online: Byelections to assembly constituencies in six states and a Union Territory were held on November 11. The bye-elections were held to fill vacancies in constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha.

Key dates and constituencies

The Gazette Notification for all eight seats was issued on October 13, formally initiating the election process. The polling was held on November 11, 2025 (Tuesday).

For all the constituencies (except those in J&K), a Special Summary Revision was conducted before the polls, with July 1, 2025, as the qualifying date. For the two J&K seats, the final roll was published on May 5, 2025.

The following Assembly Constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha went to polls on November 11:

In line with Supreme Court judgments, the ECI reiterated strict rules regarding candidates with criminal antecedents. Such candidates and their respective political parties were required to publish information about their criminal backgrounds thrice in newspapers and on television channels during the campaign period. Political parties also had to publish the reason for selecting candidates with criminal records within 48 hours of selection on their website and official social media platforms.

Turnout in bypolls

Dampa saw a turnout of 82.3%, it was 80.3% in Anta, 79.4% in Nuapada, 75.1% in Nagrota, 74.6% in Ghatshila, 61% in Punjab’s Tarn Taran, 50% in Budgam, and 48.5% in Jubilee Hills at the end of polling. Two polling officials in Odisha were suspended for allegedly failing to maintain voting secrecy.
