Vande Bharat train: Since its introduction in 2019, the Vande Bharat trains have revolutionized the rail transportation in the country. These semi-high-speed trains have not only reduced the travel time between two distances but also improved the connectivity between cities. Developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF), these semi-high-speed trains are running with full occupancies.

Currently, over 150 Vande Bharat train services are running across the country. Now, an interesting question that arises is: which state operates the maximum number of these trains? Bihar has overtaken Maharashtra to emerge as the leading state, alongside Uttar Pradesh, in operating the highest number of Vande Bharat trains. Both Bihar and UP now have 14 pairs of Vande Bharat trains services each in operation.
