Bihar constable, her husband and children found dead at police lines residence; cops suspect murder-suicide
The husband, Pankaj, was unemployed, officials said.

A police constable and her husband, as well as their two children and the husband’s mother, were found dead at the constable’s residence in Bihar’s Bhagalpur on Tuesday morning.
While the husband was found hanging, the others were found with their throats slit. Police said a “suicide note” had been found from the husband’s pocket.
The constable was identified as 32-year-old Neetu Kumari and her husband was Pankaj Kumar, 34. Police said Pankaj suspected his wife of being in an illicit relationship with someone.

Officers suggested that police suspected Pankaj of having killed the four others after drugging them, and then dying by suicide.
According to police, they learnt about the deaths at around 9.30 am Tuesday.
Neetu Kumari, who had been appointed as constable with Bihar Police in 2015, had married Pankaj Kumar soon after. They had met when they both worked at a mall between 2014 and 2015, according to officials.
Neetu was transferred to Bhagalpur Range a year ago and worked at Naugachhia near Bhagalpur town. After her posting at Bhagalpur district police, she started living with her husband, children and husband’s mother at Bhagalpur police lines.
The husband, Pankaj, was unemployed, officials said.

According to a press statement issued by the office of Bhagalpur’s Senior Superintendent of Police, a special investigation team had been set up to investigate the matter thoroughly.
The police suspected Pankaj’s involvement in mirder of four others. “It looks Pankaj drugged food of four and slit their throats after they fell unconscious. Later, he also died by suicide.
