A little over a month since the inauguration of the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh’s city of Ayodhya, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra on Wednesday issued guidelines for devotees on visiting the grand temple.
Citing that the temple is witnessing an average of 1-to-1.5 lakh pilgrims on a daily basis, the Trust advised the devotees to visit the temple for darshan between 6:30 am and 9:30 pm. Highlighting over a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the entire process from entry to exit at the Ram temple is “extremely simple and convenient,” it said, “devotees can have a smooth Darshan of Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla Sarkar within 60 to 75 minutes.”
The Trust constituted to look after the construction and management of the Ram temple highlighted non-permissible items for devotees visiting the temple.
🔴 Devotees are advised to leave their mobile phones, footwear, purses, etc., outside the Mandir premises for their convenience and to save time.
🔴 Please do not bring flowers, garlands, prasad, etc., to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
It also mentioned the timings for specific aartis, for which entry is allowed at specific times of the day using an entry pass.
🔴 Visitors can attend Mangala aarti at 4 am, Shringar aarti at 6:15 am, and Shayan aarti at 10 pm using entry passes, for which information including devotees’ name, age, Aadhar card, mobile number, and city are required.
🔴 The entry passes, which are free of charge, can be obtained from the website of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The Trust also warned the visitors against paying any fee for “special pass” for any “special darshan” at the temple. “There is no arrangement for special darshan by paying a certain fee or through any special pass at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. If you ever hear about paying for Darshan, it might be a scam attempt. The Mandir management has no connection to this,” the Trust stated on X.
It also announced the availability of free-of-cost wheelchairs for people who are elderly and differently-abled, and are willing to visit the temple.
🔴 Wheelchairs are available in the Mandir for the elderly and differently-abled. These wheelchairs are intended solely for use within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir premises, not for Ayodhya city or any other Mandir.
🔴 There is no rental fee for the wheelchair, but a nominal fee is to be given to the young volunteer assisting with the wheelchair.
