On the second day of the All India Executive Committee meeting, RSS condemned the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and said it is a well-orchestrated conspiracy to uproot minorities.
The RSS Friday called upon the Government of India to communicate to its neighbour regarding the recent attack on Hindus in Bangladesh, the global Hindu concern and ensure Dhaka stops the attacks on minorities.
Speaking about the resolution passed at a meeting of the RSS in Dharwad, its joint general secretary Arun Kumar said the Sangh demands the Bangladesh government to act tough against elements who orchestrated the attacks and ensure the perpetrators are handed stringent punishment.
Referring to the resolution passed in the meeting, Kumar said, “The attack on Hindus in Bangladesh is a well-orchestrated conspiracy to exterminate and uproot minorities. The objective of the attack was to create religious clashes through fake news. The Centre should open all its diplomatic channels with Bangladesh to communicate the global Hindu concern and ask the government there to stop attacks on Hindus and Buddhists.”
The RSS also urged the Bangladesh government to act tough against such elements who orchestrated the attacks and ensure the perpetrators are handed stringent punishment. “Government of Bangladesh should take stringent measures to prevent the mounting incidents of violence against the minorities in their country. The government should also ensure that the perpetrators of anti-Hindu violence be handed severe punishment so that the Hindus will be assured about their secured dignified life availing their rights in Bangladesh,” RSS said in a release.
The RSS further alleged that the “silence” of the United Nations and other human rights organisations on the issue “displays their double standards”. “We call upon the international community to come forward in condemning the violence and raise their voice for the safety and security of Hindus, Buddhist and other minorities in Bangladesh,” it added.
RSS resolved it wants the perpetrators to be punished so that Hindus, Buddhists and other minorities lead their life with dignity and peace in the neighbouring country. “The Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (AKB) places on record its acknowledgement to the Hindu organisations and institutions like ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, VHP and others for standing by the victims of the Islamist violence and extending all support to the Hindu brethren of Bangladesh. We also assure that the RSS along with the entire Hindu society stands firmly by the Hindus and other persecuted minorities of Bangladesh in this challenging and difficult time,” the release said.
The All India Executive Committee of the RSS began its three-day brainstorming meeting at the Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra in Dharwad on Thursday. More than 350 top leaders from across the country including chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale are part of the event.
