Based on Scott Westerfeld’s 2005 novel of the same name, Uglies is set in a futuristic world that imposes a cosmetic surgery at 16. Tally (Joey King) too is eager to join the rest of society where appearance is everything. But when a friend runs away, Tally embarks on a journey to save her that upends everything she thought she wanted. Uglies director McG believes the film’s really about “beauty as interior”. The film’s cast features Keith Powers, Chase Stokes, Brianne Tju and Jan Luis Castellanos.

Considered to be one of the most iconic works of the French New Wave, Jean Luc Godard’s Masculin Féminin is streaming as part of MUBI’s ‘Forever Godard’ collection to commemorate the auteur’s birth anniversary. It follows Paul, young and just demobbed from service in the French Army, and disillusioned with civilian life. While his girlfriend builds herself a career as a pop singer, Paul becomes more isolated from his peers and from their social politics. Originally prohibited for persons under the age of 18 upon its original release in France, the film’s cast features Chantal Goya, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Marlène Jobert and Brigitte Bardot, among others.

Nunakkhuzhi follows the story of Eby (Basil Joseph), a man desperate to recover his laptop which contains compromising content, when it’s seized by an income tax-officer. While trying to do so, he comes across Resmitha (Grace Antony), a woman in the middle of her divorce drama. What follows is a whirlwind of bizarre situations involving a dead dentist, a confined woman, and an aspiring filmmaker, leading to hilarious misunderstandings and unexpected twists. As Eby tries to keep his secrets from unravelling, a shocking twist threatens to expose his web of lies. The Malayalam language film is directed by Jeethu Joseph.

Directed by Chris Buckley, this adventure saga follows a young boy named Sig Greebling, who is seeking the solution to the changes with the help of an elusive Jedi. The entire Star Wars Galaxy gets completely mixed up when Sig unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together. The voice cast features Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).
