Actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu joined Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci at the premiere of the upcoming spy-thriller series, Citadel, in London. Varun and Samantha play the lead roles in the Indian version of the Russo Brothers’ series. The creators of the Indian Citadel, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. were also present at the starry premiere.
Varun and Samantha jointly shared a picture with Raj and DK from London before they attended the premiere. In the photo, they were seen in their casual outfits at a cafe. While Samantha wore a denim jacket and blue trousers, Varun sported a yellow jacket which he paired with a pink t-shirt. The caption of the photo read, “Team huddle in England #citadelindia.”
Varun’s close friend and actor, Arjun Kapoor commented on the photo saying, “Need a bigger table for the big budget bonanza !!!” A few fans of the actors also showered them with praises and expressed their excitement for Citadel. One of the comments read, “Both of you are looking gorgeous ❤️.” Another wrote, “Love this team ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Later, Varun shared videos and photos as he reached for the premiere of Priyanka’s Citadel along with Samantha and Raj and DK. One of the videos had him ‘making an entry’ at the venue of the premiere. He looked dapper in his black leather jacket and a brown t-shirt. He twinned with the rest of the Citadel team. Samatha wore a black crop top and a skirt and completed her look with a beautiful necklace.
As photos of Samantha from the premiere came out on social media, her fans couldn’t stop praising her. One Instagram user commented on her photos saying, “Sammy 😍😭You slay woman!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Vintage Samantha 😍😍😍.” Another complimented her, “Those abs and your pretty smile❤️ deadly combo😍😍.” Some also called her the “epitome of beauty”.
While the Russo Brothers’ Citadel will premiere on Prime Video on April 28, the Indian version of it is currently under production. Talking about shooting for Citadel, Samantha had told indianexpress.com, “I’m shooting Citadel now and every day is exhilarating work. It’s so fulfilling, I’m so happy. It’s tough but so fulfilling for a woman to be doing action, to not have the hero saving her all the time. It’s great, it’s a new phase for me. I’m absolutely enjoying it.”
