Palak Purswani evicted from Bigg Boss OTT 2, fans say she ‘deserved’ to be a part of Salman Khan-hosted show

During her week-long stay in the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, Palak Purswani's past relationship with Avinash Sachdev became the topic of discussion while her fights with Pooja Bhatt gave fans some dose of drama.

Bigg Boss OTT 2 saw its first official fan-voted eviction on Sunday. Actor Palak Purswani was ousted from the Salman Khan show after she received the least votes, as compared to Avinash Sachdev, Jiya Shankar and Bebika Dhurve.

Palak entered the show on the wrong footing after she was accused of breaking a clause in the contract. Salman Khan at the premiere informed that she had shared a WhatsApp status informing friends about her entry into the show. This irked the host and the panel, who put her in the waiting zone. Later, she was sent inside the house on the condition that she had to collect a certain amount of money from her co-contestants to save herself. While she did it, Palak could not manage to survive in the house for more than a week.

During her stay, Palak and Avinash’s past relationship was the topic of discussion. While she claimed he did something ‘non-negotiable’ in the relationship leading them to break up, Avinash told her friends that they just fell out of love. Palak’s many encounters with Pooja Bhatt also piqued the drama quotient as she cried foul saying how the filmmaker has a preconceived judgment towards her, leading to these verbal attacks. Also, her ‘bestie turned foe’ equation with Jiya Shankar was put in the spotlight as the two spoke about their issues, and then managed to hug and make up.

After Salman Khan informed the housemates that Palak had been evicted, she looked shocked, before breaking down. As she bid a teary farewell to her friends Jiya Shankar and Akanksha Puri, the actor also thanked Bigg Boss for the opportunity. Post her exit, her friends were seen crying how they would miss having her around.

Fans too supported Palak and felt the eviction was unfair. Some of their comments on social media read, “#PalakPurswani showcased her incredible persona during her time on #BiggBossOTT2. She unexpectedly faced elimination despite her commendable performance. It was disheartening to witness her being subjected to unnecessary targeting”, “I think #PalakPurswani deserved to be in the show. She isn’t diplomatic and much more interesting than Aaliya, Cyrus, Falak and Akansha” and “She may return to #BiggBoss as she was a better contestant than many.”

While there are speculations about a re-entry, makers haven’t confirmed the same. Also, given the show is for a shorter period, a re-entry may not be feasible.
