Bigg Boss OTT 2 finale made Monday exciting for fans. And the night became special as Elvish Yadav was announced as the winner of the Salman Khan-hosted show. While the YouTuber from Haryana took home the trophy and Rs 25 lakh cash prize, another favourite from the season Abhishek Malhan was declared as the runner-up. The other finalists of the show included Manisha Rani, Pooja Bhatt and Bebika Dhurve.

Elvish entered the show as a wild card contestant, and interestingly, he’s the first wild card to ever win a reality show. His late entry has been a reason that fans and even housemates like Abhishek and Manisha questioned his worth to win the show. However, host Salman defended him saying he had a harder task to connect with the housemates and fans after joining the show mid-way. His massive fandom and even support from political leaders and celebrities assured that the YouTuber finally emerged as the champion. Most polls including Indianexpress.com’s saw him getting maximum votes, and for a good reason.

His journey in Bigg Boss OTT 2 would definitely be remembered for his hilarious one-liners. Elvish also used the words ‘Systumm hang’ quite often making it popular among his fans. Even during fights, his humour gave him an edge over his competitors as he left them stumped with his wit. His friendship with Abhishek and Manisha gave audiences something to root for in the show. Time and again, he stood up for them and even claimed that Abhishek should be the one taking home the trophy. It was only after Abhishek aka Fukra Insaan questioned his chances that Elvish decided he wants to win the show too.

As for Manisha, Elvish and her cute chemistry and nok jhok moments gave audiences enough content. Fans even shipped their jodi and nicknamed them ‘Elvisha’. While Manisha tried to flirt and woo Elvish, he maintained a distance citing he already has a girlfriend. While many felt that she sometimes overdid her teasing, Manisha has maintained that it was all in good humour. The YouTuber also had a love-hate relationship with Bebika as they joked around in the show. While initially scared of Pooja Bhatt, Elvish did bond well with her towards the end, and she even declared him the true winner of the show.

Elvish Yadav also had his low moments in the show especially when it came to his anger. He had a major showdown with Avinash Sachdev where he threatened to deal with him after the show. After a fight with Bebika Dhurve, he also used some unsavoury words towards her and women at large, leaving Salman Khan irked. He not only pulled him up for his behaviour but also got his mother on the show to make him understand how to respect women. Seeing his mother, Elvish broke down, apologised to Salman and promised to mend his ways. His sincere apology left audiences impressed and they showered him with more love.
