The makers of entrepreneur Ashneer Grover’s upcoming show Rise & Fall have released the official promo on social media. He will play host in the new reality show on Amazon MX Player, where contestants are divided into Rulers and Workers in one building. One of the main highlights of the teaser video was contestant Dhanashree Verma taking an indirect dig at her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, after their recent controversial divorce proceedings.
While sharing the clip on their official Instagram handle, Amazon MX Player wrote in the caption, “iss game ka sirf ek boss hai – POWER. Welcome to the ultimate game of survival, jahan rulers aur workers ki kahani roz badlegi. Taiyaar ho jao for your daily dose of dhoka, dhamaka aur drama! New episodes streaming everyday starting 6 September for FREE, only on Amazon MX Player.”
The promo revealed some of the celebrity contenders entering the game – Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, aimed to fight against challenges with Kubbra Sait as her fearless self, and Kiku Sharda, balancing humour with cleverness. As soon as Kiku mentioned trust, the camera panned out to Dhanashree and she threw a ball, while saying, “Trust toh mera bahut pehle hi toott chuka tha (My trust was broken a long time ago).”
The video showed a heartless division between two distinct worlds in Rise & Fall – the Rulers and the Workers. The Rulers enjoy a luxury life in a flashy penthouse, while the Workers adjust in a minimal basement, fighting to rise to the top. The contestants will be juggling between broken trust, changing alliances, and the main game will start when those below rise and those above fall. The bold tagline of the show is, “16 contestants. Two worlds. One ultimate power struggle.”
For the unknown, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma finalized their divorce on March 20, this year. The former couple’s divorce proceedings took a messy turn after both of them kept sharing cryptic posts on social media. Moreover, the duo made many shocking revelations and allegations against each other in separate podcasts.
