Cyrus Broacha says he’s not afraid of controversies on Bigg Boss OTT 2: ‘I lost my reputation the day I started working’
Before entering the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, Cyrus Broacha spoke about why he said yes to the show, association with host Salman Khan and changes in the reality space.

After years of being approached for Bigg Boss, comedian Cyrus Broacha has become a part of Bigg Boss OTT 2 and termed it as taking up a new challenge in life. “Also I cannot afford parking in South Mumbai. I needed new ways of earning money. You can only earn a little by doing podcasts and being on news channels. Also, this is about crossing the unknown and hence it seemed like an exciting opportunity,” Cyrus told indianexpress.com, before entering the Salman Khan-hosted show.
Calling it stepping ‘out of his comfort zone’, the comedian said that when he was doing shows on MTV, it catered to certain people. Cyrus added that given this show reaches the whole of India, and other countries too, it makes an appealing opportunity. “I am not bothered whether I will be good or not, will I manage to entertain or not. I am only worried about my mental health. I don’t want to be seen crying every 15 minutes on camera,” he added.
The talk show host said that given he has two teenage kids, he knows how to handle ‘young people’ well. He added that he would be hoping to find some like-minded people to make his journey easier. When asked if he’s worried about his image on the show, he answered, “Do you think coming on Bigg Boss would affect my reputation? I lost my reputation the first day I started working. I have no fears and my audience also knows me for too long.”
Cyrus is known for his humour but what else can we expect from him on Bigg Boss OTT 2? “Not much. That’s about my personality. I sleep early, wake up early. All these young people are having the time of their life on the show. I think I would be like a watchman, keeping a check on everyone.”
Talking about host Salman Khan, Cyrus Broacha shared that he’s done a few events with him and even interviewed him a couple of times. He shared that the actor has always been nice to him.
On a final note, the VJ, known for his show Bakra spoke about how the reality show space has changed over the years. “It has changed a lot. Also, these shows do get the numbers and people love watching them. Not to forget, news channels have also taken inspiration and become like reality shows. Bakra was the original, the first time candid cameras were introduced in India. Today, it’s a mix of reality and drama and hence sometimes things may become fake. I will give a more elaborate answer to this when I come back,” Cyrus concluded in his inimitable style.
Bigg Boss OTT 2 is streaming on Jio Cinema.
