Abhishek Malhan aka Fukra Insaan declared runner up of Salman Khan show Bigg Boss OTT 2
Abhishek Malhan single-handedly won most tasks in Bigg Boss OTT 2 and was always seen excited about activities in the house.

Abhishek Malhan was a popular YouTuber till two months back. Today, he is the runner-up of Bigg Boss OTT 2. On Sunday, Elvish Yadav beat Abhishek to become the champion of the Salman Khan-hosted show. Manisha Rani, Pooja Bhatt and Bebika Dhurve were the other finalists of the show.
As readers would remember, Abhishek was voted the most popular contestant by the audience on the premiere episode. However, the panel present on the stage with Salman found him slightly cocky and brought him down on the chart. That did not deter him and for eight weeks, he continued to entertain his fans.
While Abhishek Malhan’s friendship with Manisha Rani would be one of the highlights in his journey, his confidence to stand against Pooja Bhatt also weighs strong. In the house, most contestants were intimidated by Pooja and did not confront her but spoke ill against her behind her back. Abhishek time and again stood up for himself and also the youth of the country, who were called out by the filmmaker quite often. His dialogue about how just saying something loudly doesn’t make it right to Pooja became one of the most popular ones this season. His flirting session with Jiya Shankar also became a hot topic among fans, who nicknamed the couple ‘Abhiya’.
Abhishek shared a good bond with most housemates but he also had some heated moments in the house. Be it Bebika Dhurve or Avinash Sachdev, the social media star had many showdowns. He was also accused of body shaming and age shaming them during his arguments. While he was tagged as the laziest one in the house, often caught sleeping by Bigg Boss, he was also the one who went all out during tasks. Abhishek single-handedly won most tasks in the house and was always seen excited about activities in the house. Competitive by nature, after Elvish Yadav’s entry, his hunger to win the show only got stronger. His statement about how a wild card doesn’t deserve to win the show got mixed responses from the audience, some even calling him a fake friend.

A couple of weeks back, Salman Khan also pulled Abhishek up for being overconfident about his followers. During an earlier conversation, he had mentioned how he brought his followers to the show, and now the makers should pay him back by letting him win. His statement irked the host who called him out for boasting about his followers. While he accepted that his words may have come across as arrogance, Abhishek pressed upon the fact that he wants to win the show and would do everything it takes to keep his audience happy. Also, given his family, including brother Nischay (Triggered Insaan), sister Prerna and mother Dimple are also YouTubers, they rallied together to support him through his journey.
Before entering the show, Abhishek Malhan had even shared with indianexpress.com how he is the first YouTuber in the history of Bigg Boss, and now he also hopes to “create history” by winning it. He added that he’s entering the show with just one aim — to stand beside Salman Khan with the trophy in his hands in the finale.
Talking about entering Bigg Boss OTT 2, Abhishek said that it was never a plan, however, he was approached for the TV show initially by the makers. Given its long run, Abhishek shared that he couldn’t let his YouTube channel be inactive and thus decided to say no. “Bigg Boss OTT was for a few weeks and I thought I could shoot a bank and go, and do something new. But I wasn’t too keen but the makers told me it’s going to be bigger than ever, and as they named Salman Khan as the host, I just jumped and said yes,” he shared.
