Vijay Deverakonda pens tribute to his ‘Family Star’, shares photos with his dad: ‘Forgive me if I have hurt you’ 

Sharing the video, Vijay Deverakonda penned an emotional letter to his father. “My hero. My Star. Life is full of highs and lows :) and I do not know what it holds in store. But I work every day to make you proud and happy. I love you, my Superstar. We made #FamilyStar to celebrate the stars in our lives, sharing with you a little flashback of the man who I made this movie for. I dedicate this movie to every Man/Woman/Boy/Girl fighting for their family. Lots of love, Your man. Vijay.”

“If I hurt you or let you down and hurt you, forgive me. Know that I love you. Making you proud will be my biggest success. And you will be forever my Family Star,” read the captions in the video. 

Vijay Deverakonda’s father Govardhan Rao Deverakonda, hailing from a small village in Telangana, is an erstwhile TV serial director. While promoting the film, Vijay Deverakonda revealed that his father despite their modest financial condition provided everything for the family. “If you had seen me in college, you would never find out that I don’t have money. I will come across as a rich guy with all the t-shirts and things. Nobody could know from the outside,” he said.

Family Star marks the second collaboration of Parasuram and Vijay Deverakonda. They two earlier worked in Geetha Govindam, which became a hit across Southern states. After the disastrous performance of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda made a decent comeback with Kushi. It has to be seen if Family Star works in his favour too.
