Tiger Nageswara Rao box office collection day 2: Ravi Teja and Nupur Sanon’s film records a dip, mints Rs 11 crore amid reports of trimmed cut
Tiger Nageswara Rao box office collection day 2: Helmed by Vamsee, the film minted Rs 4.75 crore on its second day of release, falling short of Waltair Veerayya's benchmark.

Actor Ravi Teja and Nupur Sanon-starrer Tiger Nageswara Rao opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. Helmed by Vamsee, the film debuted with Rs 6.55 crore. According to market tracker Sacnilk, Tiger Nageswara Rao recorded a drop on the second day, minting Rs 4.75 crore. The total collection now stands at Rs 11.30 crore after two days. The film had an overall 41.80% Telugu occupancy on Saturday.
The filmmakers have reportedly trimmed 25 minutes to reduce the film’s length to 2 hours and 37 minutes. Ravi Teja’s last film, Ravanasura, made Rs 6 crore on its opening day. However, his earlier release, Waltair Veerayya, had a much stronger opening day, with Rs 29.6 crore.
Tiger Nageswara Rao also marked the debut of Nupur, who is actor Kriti Sanon’s sister. Interestingly, the film’s release coincided with the debut of Kriti and Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, which is continuing a downward spiral for both actors. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ganapath made only Rs 2.5 crore on opening day, and added Rs 2.2 crore on day two.
Talking about her debut opposite Ravi Teja, Nupur told ANI, “I consider myself lucky. I feel that as an actor he is phenomenal, but I’m very blessed to have known him as a human because he is very humble. His energy is so infectious that you always have to be on your toes to perform in front of him.”
Yaariyaan 2 and Bhagavanth Kesari were also released on the same day. Vamsee’s film came out a day after Vijay’s Leo, which has already made over 200 crore worldwide. Tiger Nageswara Rao also stars Gayathri Bharadwaj, Renu Desai, and Anupam Kher among others. It was released in the Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
