Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacts to a fan’s marriage proposal: ‘You almost had me convinced…’

Fans and celebrities have such an interesting relationship, especially since the astronomical growth of social media. Imagine being just one of millions of fans trying to gain the attention of your matinee idol. Day in and day out, you like or comment on their posts in the hope that they would respond. And one fine day, you put up a reel asking for your idol’s hand in marriage, and voila, you get a response. What are the odds of that happening? Despite the rarity of that happening, it was the reality of digital creator and medico Mukesh Chintha, who received a warm response for his video asking for Samantha’s hand in marriage.  

In the now-viral reel, the netizen compiled a series of short videos where he pretends to find Samantha’s residence, and goes down on a knee in her gym proposing a marriage because he will always be there for her. The video begins with the caption, “Me on my way to Samantha to tell her that she doesn’t need to worry because I’m always going to be there for her.” In fact, Mukesh proposes to Samantha in the backdrop of a gym, and further cheekily ‘tells’ Samantha that he is open to marrying her if she is, and urges her to wait two years for him to become ‘financially independent’. Sharing the video, he wrote, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Interestingly enough, Samantha took cognisance of the post, and replied, “The gym in the background almost convinced me…”
