Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab’s makers refute postponement rumors: ‘Ignore all the rumours and enjoy the euphoria…’

The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Yogi Babu, will release worldwide in theatres on January 9, 2026, as previously announced.

The producers of Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab confirm the release date amid delay rumors.

The makers of the Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab took to social media on Tuesday to refute rumours about the film’s postponement from its Sankranthi 2026 release date. The movie will release worldwide in theatres on January 9, 2026, as previously announced.

A note from production house People Media Factory read, “In response to the ongoing speculation surrounding the release plans of Rebel Star Prabhas’ upcoming magnum opus The Raja Saab, the team wishes to clarify that all such rumours regarding a postponement from Sankranthi 2026 are entirely baseless. The Raja Saab will hit theatres worldwide on January 9th, 2026 as officially announced. The post production work is progressing at a brisk pace maintaining the highest technical standards without any delay.”

It further read, “Every department is operating in perfect sync to ensure that the film reaches audiences in its most spectacular form. This larger than life cinematic celebration is being crafted with immense passion, designed to deliver a great theatrical experience to audiences across the globe. Ignore all the rumours and enjoy the euphoria and excitement this Sankranthi will bring. We shall soon begin the promotional materials rollout with the biggest bangers in the business.”

The Raja Saab also features Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Yogi Babu, among others. The film stars Prabhas in a dual role, as an aging spirit haunting an abandoned bungalow and a young exorcist tasked with removing the paranormal presence from the premises.

The Raja Saab is written and directed by Maruthi, known for Pakka Commercial and Prati Roju Pandage. Thaman is composing the music and background score for the film. The project marks Prabhas’s return to comedy after many years. It is set to be one of Telugu cinema’s major Sankranthi releases, alongside Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polishetty.
