Kingdom box office collection day 1 early report: Vijay Deverakonda starrer spy-action drama has started strong at Rs 7.07 crore. It has already surpassed the numbers of Ram Charan's Game Changer in North America.

Kingdom box office collection day 1 early report: Vijay Deverakonda‘s highly anticipated spy-action drama Kingdom hit theatres worldwide on July 31. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film got off to a strong start, earning Rs 7.07 crore on its opening day.
Kingdom recorded an overall occupancy of 56.73% in the Telugu language on Thursday, with morning shows at 63.56%, afternoon shows at 56.52%, and evening shows at 50.12%. The highest theatre occupancy was reported in the Warangal region, at an impressive 85.67%.”
Despite earning Rs 7.07 crore at the box office so far, Kingdom may fall short of Vijay Deverakonda’s highest opener, Liger, which collected Rs 15.95 crore on its first day. The film is also facing stiff competition from Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, which has already crossed the Rs 270 crore mark. Several other releases are crowding theatres as well, including Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit and Mahavatar Narsimha. Dhadak 2, starring Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Son of Sardaar 2 are also set to hit screens on August 1.

An excerpt from SCREEN’s review of Kingdom read, “Without a doubt, Kingdom is a product of the current filmmaking environment. It would be unfair to suggest that the makers of Kingdom have misled their audience all along, because the resulting film contains just what was advertised. However, despite the painstaking setup, Kingdom never truly tethers us emotionally to its story. Though the film juggles many elements, it never settles on a central thread to bring them into harmony.”
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas, Kingdom also features Satyadev, Bhagyashri Borse, Venkitesh and Manish Chaudhari.
