HanuMan box office collection day 2: Teja Sajja’s film sees over 55% surge, surpasses Rs 20 crore mark in India
HanuMan box office collection day 2: The Teja Sajja-starrer witnessed a surge in its collection on Saturday. The film has raked in Rs 23.5 crore globally.

The mythological superhero film HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, enjoyed a strong start at the box office on Friday, securing a collection of Rs 8.05 crore. The film witnessed a substantial 55.65 percent surge in collections on the second day, reaching Rs 12.53 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.
This brings the film’s cumulative domestic collection to Rs 20.58 crore, while its global earnings stand at an impressive Rs 23.5 crore. Marketed as the first Telugu superhero movie, HanuMan generated significant buzz even before its release, evidenced by the Rs 4.15 crore garnered during its paid premiere exclusively for Telugu viewers on Thursday. The film, however, clashed with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, which raked in over Rs 41 crore on the opening day before witnessed a massive drop in is collection on second day with Rs 13 crore.
Teja Sajja takes on the role of Hanuman, the film’s protagonist, originating from the fictional realm of Anjanadri. Endowed with superhuman powers inspired by the Hindu god Hanuman, he becomes a champion for his people. Directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Primeshow Entertainment, the film also features Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Raj Deepak Shetty in pivotal roles.
Indianexpress.com’s Raghu Bandi gave the film 3 stars and wrote, “Prashanth Varma has shown with his earlier movies (A!, Kalki and Zombie Reddy) that he has plenty of guts and ambition. Both are in full display in HanuMan as he takes a leaf from the Indian mythology and mixes it with the contemporary superhero genre. Varma fits his large-scale ambition in the small universe of a fictional village and creates an entertaining set of characters to convince with the story.”
HanuMan reached a global audience, releasing not only in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu but also in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English.
