Dum Masala teaser: Mahesh Babu unveils ‘spicy’ song of Guntur Kaaram

Superstar Mahesh Babu is all set to unveil the first song from his highly anticipated upcoming film, Guntur Kaaram. The song, titled “Dum Masala,” had its teaser released on Sunday, and the catchy music has undoubtedly piqued the curiosity of his fans. Many are already calling the film a blockbuster.

The film’s music is composed by Thaman S. Mahesh Babu took to Instagram to share the teaser, stating, “#DumMasala coming to you soon! (fire emoji) #GunturKaaramOnJan12th.”

The teaser offers a sneak peek at a mortar and pestle in action, grinding chillies for the Dum Masala. It is followed by a silhouette of Mahesh Babu stepping out of a jeep as a gate opens before him. The teaser concludes with a clear shot of Mahesh, casually smoking a cigarette. “Dum Masala” features vocals by Sanjith Hegde and Thaman S, with lyrics penned by ‘Saraswati Putra’ Ramajogayya Sastry.

Mahesh Babu initially revealed the title and teaser for Guntur Kaaram on the birth anniversary of his late father and actor, Krishna. The teaser introduces Mahesh Babu’s character in a powerful and intense manner, as he is depicted arriving at the Mirchi Yard with a stick in his hand, gearing up for a confrontation.

Directed by the accomplished Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks their reunion after 12 years, following their previous successful collaborations in films like Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). The movie is anticipated to be an action-packed drama and boasts an ensemble cast, including Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj, and Sunil. The film’s cinematography is handled by PS Vinod, while Navin Nooli takes charge of editing.

Guntur Kaaram is scheduled to hit theaters on January 13, 2024.
