Devara release trailer: Jr NTR, Koratala Siva promise a bloody actioner with strong emotional core

In the 128-second release trailer, we see the Red Sea from the world of Devara haunt Jr NTR’s dreams. Prakash Raj’s voiceover gives the perfect elevation to the titular character, as we are re-introduced to all the players of the film. We are informed that Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) has created a godly monster on the mountains to oppose the godly monster of the sea. The stage is set for the two Jr NTRs — Devara and Vara — to decide whose courage is more important: the courage to fight or the courage to survive. 

In the press event ahead of the release, Jr NTR and Siva spoke about the central concept of the film, which they believe will be the talking point of the movie. What if a group of people who are too courageous, and too fearless, face their biggest fear that dissuades them from being brave? This complex concept is the central premise of Devara, which features an impressive lineup of actors including Saif Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor in their Telugu debuts, in addition to Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Kalaiyarasan.

Backed by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, Devara, which will be released as a duology, marks the maiden collaboration between Jr NTR and composer Anirudh Ravichander. It also marks the reunion of the actor and director Siva after the blockbuster success of Janatha Garage (2016). The film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
