Bhola Shankar box office collection Day 2: Chiranjeevi film’s collection drops over 50 percent, makes Rs 23 crore in two days
Bhola Shankar box office collection Day 2: Chiranjeevi film witnessed a steep downfall in its collection, garnering just Rs 7 crore on Saturday. The film has raked in Rs 23 crore in two days.

Following a lackluster opening at the box office, the action film Bhola Shankar, starring Telugu star Chiranjeevi, has failed to make a significant impact on its second day of release. Preliminary estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk indicate that the film has fallen flat on the second day and has only managed to garner around Rs 7 crore.
Initially, predictions for Bhola Shankar anticipated a first-day earning of Rs 20 crore. However, the film fell short, amassing just Rs 16.25 crore on its opening day. While this performance might not seem terrible for another actor but with Chiranjeevi leading the film, it was expected to do better. This aggregates the film’s total collection to Rs 23 crore. Bhola Shankar faces substantial competition from three other major releases on the same weekend — Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2.
In contrast, Gadar 2 raked in Rs 43 crore on its second day, and OMG 2 gathered Rs 14.5 crore on Saturday. Jailer, on the other hand, managed to breach the Rs 100 crore milestone within just three days of its release.
Not only has Bhola Shankar struggled with competition, but it has also faced unfavourable reviews from critics, who find it a lackluster remake of the Tamil film Vedalam. The Indian Express review noted, “The story and narration offer little to discuss. While it adeptly adheres to the requisites of typical mass cinema, there’s a dearth of novelty throughout the film. The last half-hour, encompassing the pre-climax and climax, progresses briskly but falls flat.”
Bhola Shankar is directed by Meher Ramesh and stars Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah, Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth in key roles.
