Allu Arjun confirms Pushpa 3, says Pushpa The Rule will ‘play on an international scale’: ‘You can definitely expect…’

Allu Arjun spilled beans about the film Pushpa: The Rule and said that the conflict between him and Fahadh Fasil will escalate in the second installment.

Allu Arjun’s fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Pushpa: The Rule. Recently, the makers released a special poster confirming the release date of the second part. Pushpa 2 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024, in multiple  languages. Allu Arjun, who is currently attending the Berlin Film Festival, opened up about Pushpa 3 and also discussed the upcoming film Pushpa: The Rule. 

In an interview with Variety, Allu Arjun said, “You can definitely expect part three, we do want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup”. The actor also spilled the beans about the upcoming second part and said, “Pushpa 2 is going to have a very different shade of Pushpa than what you’ve seen in ‘Pushpa 1,’ because it is the lower end of the spectrum that you’ve seen.”

Allu Arjun said that in the second part, viewers can expect to see the character portrayed with even greater depth and intensity than before. He added that the scale of the character and the challenges they face will be larger than in the first installment of the movie. 

He said, “Till then it was playing on a regional scale, now it will play on a national and international scale. Pushpa 1, police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, played by Fahadh Faasil, emerges as a thorn in Pushpa’s side. The conflict between them is going to “escalate to a much bigger, bigger scale.”

Allu Arjun stated that Pushpa: The Rise saw a surge in popularity after it started streaming on Prime Video. He said that a lot of people watched the movie multiple times on streaming platforms compared to its theatrical release. The actor also said that the film attracted viewers from various languages, regions, and neighboring countries on OTT platforms.

Director Sukumar’s film became one of the highest-grossing films of that year. The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role.
