Earlier, Mahesh Babu praised the Telugu film Mem Famous and its actor-director Sumanth Prabhas. Now, SS Rajamouli has come out in support of the movie and its team. Rajamouli said that Sumanth “has a bright future both as an actor and director.”

SS Rajamouli tweeted, “After a long time thoroughly enjoyed a film in the theatre. Watch out for this guy Sumanth. He has a bright future both as an actor and director. All the characters were nicely etched and actors performed naturally. Especially Anji mama. Highly recommend it to everyone. Youth ni encourage cheyyale. Dham dham cheyyoddhu.”

The film’s producer and director were moved by SS Rajamouli’s gesture and thanked him on Twitter. Actor-director Sumanth Prabhas wrote, “Thank you so much sir. Your support for the film is unimaginable. Each and every word of yours has given us 1000% boost.”

This film’s producer Sharath Chandra said, “What a pleasant surprise!!!! We are overjoyed and on cloud 9 sir. Means a lottt – no looking back for our young team after these words of encouragement from you sir.”

Raghu Bandi of Indianexpress.com gave the film two stars and wrote in his review, “The film is limited to the small world it inhabits, making it repetitive and affecting its pace. The scenes involving setting up their business and running it lift the narrative, only to sag again. The actual theme of the film, becoming famous and using it to make money, comes into play a little later in the second half.”

He added, “Despite feeling like an extended YouTube short at times, it is a heartfelt film that addresses today’s social realities.”
