Vicky Kaushal reveals why Katrina Kaif decided the dinner menu at their wedding: ‘Punjabis don’t care what they are eating after 8 pm’

Actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2021. The couple didn’t allow any media access and so the fans are still curious about their wedding ceremony. Vicky, who will soon be seen on Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, was asked by a participant about the menu at his wedding and who decided it. The actor, to everyone’s amusement, revealed that while breakfast dishes were his choice, the dinner menu was chosen by Katrina.

Vicky and actor Manushi Chillar appeared on the show alongside host Amitabh Bachchan to promote their film The Great Indian Family. In the episode’s promo, a participant asked Vicky, “Vicky ji se ek sawaal hai. Shaadi ka jo menu tha woh kisne decide kia?” (I have a question for Vicky. Who decided the wedding’s menu).

Upon being asked this question, Vicky gave a hilarious response and said, “Jo nashta tha woh maine decide kia tha kyuki usme chole bhature, aloo ke parathe, ye sab must tha. (I decided the breakfast which included chole bhature and aloo ke parathe.)”

He then added, “Dinner Katrina ne decide kia. Kyuki waise bhi kisi kaaranwarsh,(enacts holding a drink) 8 baje ke baad Punjabiyon ko koi farak nahi padta kya kha rahe hain. (Dinner was decided by Katrina because for some reason Punjabis don’t care about what they are eating post 8pm).” Vicky’s response left Amitabh Bachchan in splits along with the audience, which gave a thunderous response to the actor’s reply.

The Great Indian Family’s trailer was released on Tuesday. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharaya, the film tells the story of Balrampur’s Bhajan Kumar aka Ved Vyas Tripathi played by Vicky. Hailing from a family of priests, he is unhappy about his not-so-usual lifestyle but one letter about the truth of his birth brings a big twist to his life.

The film also stars Manushi Chillar in the lead role and is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films. The movie is set to release on September 22.
