Sudha Murty married Narayan Murthy when he was unemployed, her father asked how will he introduce him: ‘Tell them he’s Sudha’s husband’
Sudha Murty had earlier shared how she loaned Rs 10,000 to her husband Narayan Murthy to start Infosys.

Sudha Murty has been delighting people by sharing sweet anecdotes from her life and marriage with Infosys founder Narayan Murthy. In the latest video from her appearance on The Kapil Sharma show, she’s seen sharing how her father questioned her why she was marrying a person who was unemployed.
Sudha shares that since she was from a middle class family her father, who was a doctor, was worried that she’s marrying to a man who doesn’t have a job and didn’t know how to introduce him to his friends if they ask what her husband does. She shared, “I am a doctor’s daughter, I hail from a middle class family and we used to only have books at our home. By the grace of God I married Narayan Murthy. He was unemployed at the time we got married. My father asked me, ‘why are you marrying an unemployed person, when people ask us about him what will we say to them?’, so I told him that he should say he is Sudha’s husband.”
Sudha then shared that after Narayan Murthy and she founded Infosys, they became successful and hence she feels that it is her duty to help those who are less priviliged. “Then Narayan Murthy became so successful, I would say it is God’s blessings on us. I wonder why God did this with me, I think he gave us so much money so we can help the poor, that’s my duty,” she told Kapil.
Sudha, who graced The Kapil Sharma Show recently, had earlier shared how she loaned Rs 10,000 to husband Narayan to start Infosys, which turned out to be the ‘best investment’ of her life. She had shared, “He started Infosys in 1981. We were living in a rented apartment in Bandra, Mumbai then. One day, he came up to me and said he was starting this software company. We come from a middle-class family and my first question was where will we find money to do it. He then spoke about how India needed a software revolution, uska bhashan diya (he gave a speech on that).”
