Prince Narula-Yuvika Chaudhary on Sunday lifted the Nach Baliye 9 trophy. Anita Hassanandani-Rohit Reddy and Vishal Aditya Singh-Madhurima Tuli were announced as the first and second runner-up, respectively.
The ninth season of Nach Baliye premiered on July 19, 2019. Co-producer Salman Khan unveiled the names of all the contestants during the premiere. The makers of the show changed the concept this season and we saw five couples and five former couples from tinseltown competing against each other. For the first time, the show opened its gate to former couples in hopes of increasing the drama in the celebrity dance reality show.
Former couples Urvashi Dholakia-Anuj Sachdeva, Vishal Aditya Singh-Madhurima Tuli, Aly Goni-Natasa Stankovic and Shraddha Arya-Alam Makkar were seen matching steps on the stage. Apart from them, real-life couples Anita Hassanandani-Rohit Reddy, Prince Narula-Yuvika Chaudhary, Rochelle Rao-Keith Sequeira, Vindu Dara Singh-Dina Umarova, Faisal Khan-Muskaan Kataria, Shantanu Maheshwari-Nityani Shirke, Babita Phogat-Vivek Suhag and Sourabh Raaj Jain-Riddhima Jain also took part in the competition.
This new format received a lot of backlash from the audience as it seemed like the show was more interested in drama than dance.
The grand finale also saw Asha Parekh, Zeenat Aman, Govinda, Karthik Aryan, Ananya Panday, Bhumi Pednekar and Sooraj Pancholi in attendance.
Nach Baliye 9 ends with Prince Narula-Yuvika Chaudhary taking home Nach Baliye 9 trophy and cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
